 Greetings from the Occoquan District!

I hope you and your family are enjoying the warm weather and the long, holiday weekend. As we celebrate Memorial Day, please keep all of those who have died in our nation's service, as well as those who currently serve, in your thoughts and prayers. We are all grateful for their sacrifice on behalf of our country.

Below please find our monthly update on a few of the things going on around the county and our district.

Old Bridge Sidewalk

Old Bridge Road is our community's "main street," and VDOT recently announced a series of safety improvements to the corridor. In addition, I am pleased to report that the Board of County Supervisors unanimously voted at its May 3 meeting to award the design contract for the portion of the sidewalk project from Mohican to Dilligham Square. It is my hope that we will see construction begin in the near future. As always, we will continue to keep you apprised of any new developments.
