To All Congregations in the NH Diocese,
As difficult as it is to believe, the retirement of Bishop Gene will soon be upon us and the time is now to complete planning for us to say farewell to him and Mark in November. This notice provides details and asks for a head count, a very important detail at this point. Please help us do just that.
There will be two retirement celebrations so New Hampshire Episcopalians can say goodbye to Gene and Mark. They are:
- November 3, 2012, 2-4 pm at All Saints Church, Littleton (co hosted by All Saints and St. Barnabas, Berlin)
- November 10, 2012, 1-4 pm at the Grappone Conference Center, Concord
These venues were selected to provide an opportunity for North Country people to say goodbye without travelling long distances, and, in the case of Concord, a central location which could accommodate a large number of people.
Note: there will be no receiving line at either site. This is an opportunity to shake hands, sign the guest book and have some light refreshments. It should be clear to all attendees that there is limited time with Gene and in the interest of fairness, folks should not monopolize that time. People are encouraged to send a note or to leave a note when they sign the guest book, rather than to engage Gene and Mark in lengthy goodbyes. Obviously, attendees should avoid attending both celebrations.
In order to give a head count to those providing the refreshments at both celebrations, we need a count no later than 10/4/12. Upon receipt of the numbers, tickets will be mailed to your congregation.

Please contact the church office if you wish to attend one of these celebrations. Thank you.
