We had a beautiful day for the 2012 All Saints Summer Fair which kicked off another very successful day of Fair sales on July 21. When the chairmen of the fair got together on Sunday night after the fair we reflected on the people who made this fair such a success. To the many people who spent countless hours sorting, cleaning and pricing donated items daily in the undercroft, to those who arrived on 7am on fair day to move the items to the tents, to all the booth chairmen who coordinated their volunteers, to all the fair angels who donated money to defray the startup costs of the fair, we want to thank you all.
Preliminary total income for the fair stands at approximately $20,000.00. After additional money is received and expenses paid we will have a final number to report. The money raised through your efforts will go to the many outreach programs supported by All Saints Church.
As Tom and Donna Cote turn over the chairmanship of the 2012 Summer Fair to Bob and Christy Parker chairmen of the 2013 Summer Fair they want to thank everyone who made 2012 a big success. The wonderful relationships that were developed over the many weeks and months of preparation for this years fair will be relationships that they will carry with them for a lifetime. |

Church Office Volunteers Needed
Donna, our Parish Administrator, will be going on vacation the week of August 26th and is looking for some volunteers to staff the church office (each day from 9AM - noon). There will be no office responsibility except greeting visitors and answering the phone. Please call the church office if you can help. Thank you. |

Consecration Tickets & Broadcast |
The Consecration of the Bishop Elect, Rev. Robert Hirschfeld, will be held on Saturday, August 4th at 11:00 AM. The service will be held at the Capitol Center of the Arts (44 Main Street, Concord)
We will receive 22 tickets for that event so if you wish to attend, please notify the office as soon as possible. We will not receive the tickets until some time after July 26th for distribution. If All Saints has any unused tickets they will be returned to the Diocese for others to use, so please make your requests ASAP.
A live video "broadcast" of the consecration of our new bishop will be available over the internet, for parish or home viewing. If you can watch a YouTube video on your computer, you can probably receive it. Access to the video stream will be available at http://search.nhepiscopal.org/index.php/consecration. The Consecration begins at 11 AM on Saturday, August 4th. The video coverage is expected to begin with the preludes at 10:45. |

Rector Search Committee Update
| |
The Rector Search Committee (RSC) wishes to keep members of the congregation informed of the steps we are undertaking as we seek a new rector for All Saints. Broadly speaking, the process is divided into three phases:
- Phase I is focused on creating a profile of All Saints' and the communities served;
- Phase II is focused on creating a parish narrative --including history and identity, hopes and aspirations, challenges and opportunities -- that will guide our thinking regarding the experience and characteristics desired in the next rector;
- Phase III is focused on getting the word about our search out to potential candidates, gathering of resumes by the Diocese and the interview process.
The Search Committee expects the total process to take 18 to 24 months. For the remainder of the summer and into the fall, the RSC is the midst of the Phase I. At last Sunday's meeting, committee members divided into various sub-committees in order to accomplish myriad tasks: prepare community, church program, and congregational profiles; interview other community leaders; profile and interview leaders of other church and religious organizations in the community; prepare an All Saints history and identity profile; and identify potential use of social media.
We appreciate your faith in committee members and the process. We will continue to keep you abreast of our progress and will be looking to you for input along the way!

Volunteer Harvesters Needed
The LIFE Ministries Food Pantry Garden is in need of volunteers to help pick the produce that is now coming in. Beans, zucchini, cucumbers, tomatoes are ready now with peppers, carrots, potatoes, and onions coming along well. Volunteers meet Sunday, Tuesday, and Friday mornings about 8:30 and pick for an hour or two, depending on the number of volunteers. If you could come by even once, you'd be helping to give a needy neighbor some healthy fresh vegetables. Please call Susan Poirier at 569-0236 for more information or directions. |

Jewelry Chair Offers Thanks
I would like to thanksgiving everyone who helped the jewelry area sell so well. First I must mention Kit Peterson along with donating (always a help as this wouldn't happen without donations!) but Kit also suggested Maureen Kalfa. Maureen is an expert on antiques and estate jewelry, she helped so much. Maureen not only helped with pricing, she purchased several pieces and offered to put on e- bay some of our better pieces that didn't sell and giving us the money!!!!
Also, Lynne Slocome who has done so much this year and every year -- Lynne bless you and thank you so much. Margaret Barnes and her granddaughter, Natalie - they both worked so hard on all aspects of jewelry - thank you both so much! Prue in the midst of her very, very busy life not only worked hard but was incredibly helpful - thank you my dear friend. Last but not least my favorite helper, Donna Young.
