Greetings!
Emily Oldak Dancer
As the days grow short, Sing for Hope's programs are getting into full swing! We are very proud that since this time last year, we have more than doubled our programming to bring the arts to thousands of students, hospital patients and community members in need.  Our Art U! educational outreach program is now active in 12 under-resourced schools in New York City; our Healing Arts hospital outreach program now brings bedside performances and workshops to patients and caregivers at 6 major facilities in New York City; and this past summer, our Community Arts program brought music to more than 1,000,000 New Yorkers with the Sing for Hope Street Pianos.

Autumn is also the time for our Annual Sing for Hope Gala, which promises to be our most exciting to date!  Chaired by Joseph and Judi Flom and Co-Chaired by Renée Fleming, Hugh Jackman, and Muhammad Yunus, the event will feature Nathan Gunn, Tituss Burgess, and other Sing for Hope Donor Artists from New York's great stages.  Read on to learn more!

Each year, Sing for Hope's Gala raises awareness and support for our outreach programs that bring the healing power of the arts to communities in need.  The evening features performances by leading Sing for Hope Donor Artists from the Metropolitan Opera and Broadway, and conversation with renowned philanthropic and artistic leaders.  All proceeds support the charitable mission of Sing for Hope, which in the words of Sing for Hope Board Member Renée Fleming, "is dedicated to bringing the healing power of art to those who need it most."

Remember Those Pianos?
Their new homes in schools and hospitals throughout NYC!

NYCHA and Street PianoThis past summer, Sing for Hope brought 60 pianos to the parks and public spaces of New York City for 2 weeks.  The Street Pianos touched millions of New Yorkers and visitors alike, and brought people together through the common bond of music!

During their two-week public residency, the Street Pianos were cared for by "piano buddies" from the local schools, hospitals, and community organizations that Sing for Hope serves year-round.  Upon conclusion of their public service, the pianos were donated to these buddy organizations to be enjoyed for years to come.

Now, as the school year gets underway, thousands of New York City children and hospital patients throughout the five boroughs continue to make music with our pianos.  Click here to read more!

Finally, as always, we truly appreciate your generous support of Sing for Hope's programs that bring the healing power of the arts to communities in need.  No donation is too large or too small, and all are deeply appreciated (and tax-deductible!).

Thank you for believing, as we do, in art as a catalyst for positive change in individuals, organizations, and our world. We hope to see you soon!

Warmly,

~The Sing for Hope Team
