Since I last wrote a newsletter, we've been to China and back. The key staff of InkjetMall (Sales Manager Wells Smith, Product Support Manager Dana Ceccarelli, and myself) visited cartridge and micro-chip factories. We also had time to visit an inkjet trade show, and visit with one of our key partners to see their latest factory which has just been completed.

It was an arduous trip without a moment to rest. We ate exceptionally well. We visited so many different provinces and sampled many different types of local cuisine. What we learned about cartridges (the main purpose of our trip) was incredible. You can read more about our Great China Cartridge Excursion here.

We now have a chance to redesign many of our cartridge supplies. There are several products in design that we hope to release in time for the New Year. But, in the meantime we've married an excellent chip (from the best semi-conductor maker in China) with a very good example of a R3000 cartridge to introduce our new ConeColor Pro inks. We're introducing our new ink on the R3000 printer. You can read more about the R3000 ConeColor Pro system here at the InkjetMall blog. We've made an excellent profile library of 56 ICCs which are now online at conecolor.com

ConeColor Pro inks are a new formulation that perfects both our glossiness and dMax to the equivalent of the OEM. We've reformulated all positions and will slowly begin rolling it out over the next few months. It is fully compatible with the existing ConeColor formulations. The new Pro line will also include HDR Green ink!

Piezography K7 is up and running on the R3000 now. We will release that within another two weeks. Then we tackle the R2000.

And we have a great initial users report on FireFly Invisible inks for Epson printers. Justin James Reed posted a guest blog entry here. It's really impossible to show a photograph of an invisible print that is illuminated with a blacklight. Digital cameras can't deal with blacklight! But, two images are illustrated. We understand they are quite colorful. Reed is a photographer with a great deal of experience in hand book making. Invisible ink is purely experiential. While it is possible to make photographs and graphics that are invisible in daylight, it is only possible to view them under UV light or blacklight. To photograph them under blacklight is simply difficult. The movies I inserted below the blog entry give a better idea of what color is possible.

Finally, a reminder that the day after Thanksgiving is our Black Friday Sale. I will try to add a few things on Cyber Monday Sale (the first Monday after Thanksgiving.) We are stocking up with lots of ink and carts. We've been bottling like mad. There will be some spectacular sale prices. (But we have only 70 sets of R3000 carts with the new chip - so best to reserve a spot on our first-come-first-serve notification by e-mailing me.) We'll send out early notification two days before the official release and you can purchase yours. We have 800 more sets of carts arriving in December.

We pride ourselves on technical support. Below is a screen grab of the more info screen of an item on the website. Please review the products you use!
