Millions of gallons of oil leaking into the Gulf of Mexico.
Every year in the USA, more than 450 million single use inkjet cartridges are being thrown into landfill. Many still contain as much as 15% of the ink they originally contained.
In 2007, ConeColor and Piezography ink systems were redesigned to be ReUsable. These inks are made by Vermont PhotoInkjet, LLC which has a commitment to manufacturing and distribution of Epson replacement and alternative inks in an environmentally sustainable manner. ReUse is the most powerful way in which to practice sustainability. The catastrophe of inkjet in the USA is well underway with more than 450 million ink carts thrown away after one use. There is no reason why the manufacturer can not make them reusable. Doing so however, would open the market for choice of inks. So tons of toxic wastes continue to be added to our landfills. I can't but equate the stain of ink to the oil now filling the gulf. Please consider doing your part for the environment and switching from single use carts to refillable carts. Now, all of the carts that we sell on InkjetMall are designed to be reused. To read more about the toxicity of inkjet materials and what you can do to help click here.
