Regional Freight Planning Initiative
The Genesee Transportation Council (GTC) along with its consultant team of Cambridge Systematics, Inc. with Bergmann Associates and Halcrow, Inc. has been progressing the development of the Transportation Strategies for Freight/Goods Movement in the Genesee-Finger Lakes Region initiative. The purpose of the initiative is to develop goods movement strategies that will position the transportation system of the Genesee Finger Lakes Region as a distinguishing factor in retaining and attracting both traditional and emerging technology manufacturing firms, as well as enhancing the viability of agriculture. Transportation Council Updates
  • Adopt-a-Family Update:  The Rochester Transportation Council adopted a family in need this past December, collecting items from a wish list and delivering the gifts in time for the holidays. This is an annual event that council members participate in and they look forward to it again in 2011. (click here to read the thank you note)
