About Sunday's Service
As you begin your summer exploration of "A Pluralist Search for Truth and Meaning," we'll explore how this search can deepen and enrich our lives, and consider some pitfalls to avoid. Our guide will be that master pluralist, the 13th century Sufi poet, Jelelaldin Rumi.
Rev. Eric Posa was ordained to the Unitarian Universalist ministry in 2005, after completing his seminary education at Texas Christian University's Brite Divinity School. Rev. Posa has served previously as hospital chaplain, as interim minister, and as settled minister in his native state of Texas. Now an Accredited Interim Minister-in-Training, he currently serves the UU Church of Greensboro, in North Carolina, where he lives with his partner, Suzi.

PUBLICATION DEADLINES OCTAGRAM - WEEKLY EVERY THURSDAY The Octagram is intended to focus on activities taking place at UUC or those of interest to UUC members and friends. Send items in brief with a link to more information to Octagram. PLEASE DO NOT SEND INFORMATION FORMATTED, OR IN A FLIER. Provide text in an email, or as an attached Word file with any pictures/graphics attached to the email. Deadline is 10 a.m. every Wednesday. Prepared by Jeff Anderson, assisted by Leslie Conrad. Pride is once more upon us and I so look forward to attending the Pride festival once more. Of course what I want to see is the day we no longer need a day of Pride but will live the dream of acceptance across the country if not the world. The day when a person's sexuality does not confine nor define them. The day when homosexual and heterosexual are terms no longer applied to people. For now though Pride is essential to our landscape and our lives. Come celebrate the diversity and the beauty of all beings. Come and spread the love and for a few hours see past all the rainbow and glitter and hoopla and affirm in your hearts that we are all the same and whom we love does not separate us.
ORDER OF SERVICE/ANNOUNCEMENTS - WEEKLY EVERY SUNDAY SERVICE: Deadline is 6 p.m. every Wednesday. Send appropriate items to Order of Service/Announcements. Prepared by Pat St. Clair. ITEMS RECEIVED AFTER THE DEADLINES WILL BE INCLUDED IN THE FOLLOWING PUBLICATION, IF APPLICABLE. Octagram headline artwork of the UUC courtyard pond by Lynette Wood. |
