About Sunday's Service
What is this thing called "grace?" Is it that which is in us and yet beyond us? Is that God or God by some other name or creative force? Does it come with a limited warranty? Or is it freely available? The service will investigate.
The service will feature a child dedication for some of Eliseo Santana's grandchildren. | |

Religious Education Happenings |
Please join us this Sunday for faith, friendship and fun as we explore the world around us. Our little UUs in the nursery (ages 0-3yrs) will have fun with free play and music. Our Pre-K/Kindergarten class will learn a little about Islam through the eyes of a young boy and the Arabic alphabet. Our 1st/2nd grade class will explore the differences between "natural miracles" (like a spider knowing how to spin a web) and Biblical miracles. Our 3rd-5th class will prepare for Earth Day and focus on our 7th principle: To care for the Earth. What can you do to make a difference?
Our Middle School class will revisit the Easter story as presented in the Bible and the topic of rebirth and renewal.
Our high school youth group meets after the worship service from 12-1pm for open discussion.
We can't wait for Sunday! Please join us!
Volunteers are encouraged! Come be a kid again and have some fun!

Host families bring the world to them, learning about a new culture from their "adopted" son or daughter for a school year, and create a friendship that lasts a lifetime. PUBLICATION DEADLINES OCTAGRAM - WEEKLY EVERY THURSDAY The Octagram is intended to focus on activities taking place at UUC or those of interest to UUC members and friends. Send items in brief with a link to more information to Octagram. PLEASE DO NOT SEND INFORMATION FORMATTED, OR IN A FLIER. Provide text in an email, or as an attached Word file with any pictures/graphics attached to the email. Deadline is 10 a.m. every Wednesday. Prepared by Jeff Anderson, assisted by Leslie Conrad. I suppose now that the secret of my deep admiration for Joan Cusack is out other revelations are soon to follow. For the last twenty years I have been crushing on Joan Cusack, since I saw her in Toys. She has a quirkiness I find appealing. In other areas we are seeing lots of closure this week, Zimmerman has been arrested and charged, Rick Santorum has suspended his campaign, and our snowbird friends have started migrating northward again in the wake of Easter. Soon school will be out and the morning commute will become even more bearable. It's at times like this I almost wished I believed in some sort of supernatural deity so I could thank her for how wonderful life really is. Until, of course, the mutant star-goat shows up and eats the sun. ORDER OF SERVICE/ANNOUNCEMENTS - WEEKLY EVERY SUNDAY SERVICE: Deadline is 6 p.m. every Wednesday. Send appropriate items to Order of Service/Announcements. Prepared by Pat St. Clair. ITEMS RECEIVED AFTER THE DEADLINES WILL BE INCLUDED IN THE FOLLOWING PUBLICATION, IF APPLICABLE.
