Jim Meyers, DrPH, MHA, FACHE   
 
 

The PMP Pals' Network welcomes longtime "Pal", Jim Meyers, DrPH, MHA, FACHE to our Advisory Council.

 

Jim is the married father of three and was diagnosed with Pseudomyxoma Peritonei in May 2005. He was treated with CRS/HIPEC by Dr. David L  Bartlett at UPMC later that summer. Jim's final diagnosis was DPAM originating from an appendix tumor.  

 

Jim has been cancer free for over 5 years and has served as a

Pal Mentor for many of those years.  Additionally, he participates in the following Pal Resource & Support Groups:

 

Young Dads with PMP, HIPEC Pals and UPMC Pals.

 

Jim's background includes 24 years of service in the United States Air Force as a health administrator and population health researcher, retiring in 2005 at the rank of Colonel.  His professional experience includes faculty appointments at UC Berkeley's School of Public Health, Baylor University and Trinity University.   

 

He is currently a volunteer in his community in population health efforts and a consultant to the California Health Care Foundation on community health, safety net clinic operations, and health information technology.

 

Jim tells us he is honored to serve on the PMP Pals' Network Advisory Council!
