Good Living Tip
Waste Free Lunch Kits
With a new year upon us, it is a perfect time to reevaluate our lifestyle choices and implement beneficial changes. How does your lunch kit measure up? Take these points into consideration: - By avoiding the use of plastic baggies and bottles, you can help reduce the 1.5 million barrels of oil used in making these products every year
- Save the environment: You can help to reduce the 38 billion plastic water bottles which end up in landfills each year
- Save money: by investing in a good lunch kit, you will find you no longer have the need to buy plastic baggies, water bottles, paper napkins, juice boxes, foil, plastic wrap or single serving foods over and over again.
- Avoid leaching chemicals like BPA, phthalates, and PVC which are linked to adult hormonal cancers.
- The average school age child generates 67 pounds of lunchtime trash per year.
The Good Planet Company is promoting waste-free lunch kits for the month of January. Feel free to come down and speak with Andrea, Christie, Monika or Shiri about what would best suit your lunch needs. Some of our favorites in store include Kids Konserve Lunch Kits, Laptop Lunch Kits, Layered Stainless Steel Sandwich Box and the Two Layer Stainless Steel Tiffin. These and many more options are also available on our website at goodplanet.com.
