Gratitude Counts!
What are YOU grateful for, right now?
 Psychologists at the Universities of Miami and California recently conducted a study about the impact of gratitude on the individual.
The study concluded that participants who routinely recorded things in their life of which they were grateful:
· felt better about their lives
· were more optimistic
· were energetic, enthusiastic and joyful
· had fewer illnesses and got more sleep
So, how do we replicate these results? The Victoria-based inventors of The GratOodle have the answer! We spoke with Sarala Godine, co-creator of the Gratoodle, who said:

We're hiring, and we have a new baby in the family!
 We have two in-house stories to share this summer.
On June 27th, our web-maven, Danielle, gave birth to a beautiful, 8lb 7oz healthy baby girl, Emrys Melia. Congratulations Danielle and James!
On a less happy note, Brianna is leaving us for employment elsewhere. We all wish her the best of luck in her challenging new position, and hope that she will visit us often! As a result, we're now searching for a new team member. The HST!
We thought our customers might like to know
how the H ST affects the hundreds of items we offer for sale here at The Good Planet Company.
The answer is "NOT AT ALL"
Before July 1st, almost everything we sold was taxable at 12% (GST+PST) and is now taxable at the same rate of 12% (HST)
We're not saying that the HST is a good tax, or a fair tax (we've never met a tax we like) but in comparison with Germany (19%), Argentina (21%), and Sweden (25%) perhaps things could be worse.
The Good Planet Company hopes that our politicians, rather than campaigning to abolish the HST and revert to the regressive, inefficient and punitive GST+PST combo, will campaign during the next election on a promise to reduce the HST to 10%.
