Happy  1st Anniversary
ClimateMama
Greetings!

This November we are celebrating the one year anniversary of the launch of ClimateMama.com. We want to thank each one of you for being our inspiration, our cheerleader and our hope and belief for a better world. Over the coming months, you will see a new format to this newsletter. We will be in touch regularly, beginning in January 2011 and following that, every two months.

Our goal is to bring you a more detailed and in depth look at ONE main topic- something we hope you will find interesting,
informative and ACTIONABLE (ie - Sign our Petition - Help Educate the Public on the Disaster Climate Change is causing in our National Parks). Each issue will be unique - an opportunity to learn something new, something you can share with the kids in your life.  Let ClimateMama help you show the kids in your life that you care about what is happening to the world they are growing up in. We will also continue to bring you updates from our ClimateMama blog and website.

Hot of the Newswire! Exciting Anniversary News! Next wee
k, on November 11th, ClimateMama will be featured on The Balancing Act; a Lifetime TV nationally syndicated morning show with a goal to inspire and empower it's viewers. Harriet Shugarman and Sabrina Cowden of The Climate Project will be interviewed on the Balancing Act. Host Olga Villa sees the show as "an opportunity to encourage our viewers to make a difference, get involved, and make the world a better place!" Our link will take you directly to the feature on November 11th. After November 11th, you can view the segment on the Balancing Act website, or on our Blog.

Sincerely yours,

Climate Mama
Climate Mama's Blog Updates

As you may know, we like "blowing our own horn." We want to make sure you regularly get to see and read our wonderful, informative, interesting and off-beat blog posts. If you aren't in the habit of checking our Friday Blog Updates, we want to make it easy for you. Sign up for our RSS feeds and the blog updates will automatically come to you! If you are a regular Facebook user, join our new Fan Page. We are "relaunching" on Facebook TODAY as a Fan Page instead of a Group. Be the first to "like us" and send the link to your friends. You can also find our blog updates on Twitter.

We recently teamed up with a group of incredible Mom Bloggers at the Green Moms Carnival, and have participated in some joint posts, check out what the Green Moms had to say on 10/10/10 as part of the350.org Global Action Day on Climate Change. For some "scarier news" and in honor of Halloween,  the Green Moms Carnival also blogged about "Greening the Dead."

Earlier this year we visited Colorado on a mission to find out more about our disappearing forests and the rise of the mountain pine beetle (if it sounds like a "horror movie" it is). The death of 100's of millions of our trees all across the USA and Canada is a fact and unfortunately something few of us seem to be aware of or are focusing on. View our slideshow, read our reports, get educated and help spread the word.

Please forward to your friends. Thanks for helping us grow. Together we CAN make a difference!

Sincerely,
