Shop Local for the Holidays

Have you ever wondered what the impact of shopping local means to our community?  For every dollar spent locally, that dollar will be passed on average 7 times.  Any dollar spent outside is gone forever.  When we shop local we put money back into our community by creating jobs, creating a healthy market which in turn creates more business opportunites.  Forty percent of employment in the Okanagan is with locally owned and operated businesses. And for every $1 spent locally it generates $4 more in economic activity. So remember this holiday season and whenever you shop that when you buy local you influence your Community!
