Chambersburg Area School District Staff,
As we recognize and celebrate our students' achievement over their years of school, we also recognize that this success is due to the hard work, dedication, and caring from teachers and staff, kindergarten through high school. We would like to extend an invitation to all faculty and staff members in the Chambersburg Area School District Community to participate in this year's Graduation Ceremony for the Class of 2011. It will be held on June 10 at 6:30 PM in the Trojan Stadium, weather permitting.
We would be pleased to have you join us in the processional and to be seated on the field. The Commencement processional into the stadium will be led by the school board members, administrators, and faculty members, and followed by our graduating seniors. Faculty participating will be seated on the field for proceedings.
If you would like to participate in this event, please send an email reply to Mr. Brian Hostetler or call at 717-261-3326 by June 6th, so that we can arrange to have ample seating. Please report to the high school auxiliary gymnasium by 5:45 PM on graduation night. I hope that you will consider joining us on this special occasion.

In celebration of Decision Day, college advisers with the National College Advising Corps will host various events and activities across the country between April 29 and May 31, 2011. Decision Day is the day high school seniors make the decision about their post-secondary education or training plans.
College Adviser Unique Patterson, of the Keystone College Advising Corps, will host Chambersburg Area Senior High School Seniors Decision Day on Friday, May 27th from 1:30 pm until 2:45 pm in the auditorium.
Franklin County Career and Technology Center will host Decision Day on Tuesday, May 31st from 1:30 pm until 2:30 pm for its graduating seniors.
Decision Day events are held to honor students' success and their commitment to post-secondary education or training, while supporting the development of a college culture among younger students within the high school. Seniors will have an opportunity to win prizes and rewards during the celebration!
"Decision Day is a great way for schools and communities to celebrate the future of its senior class," says Nicole Hurd, PhD, Founder and Executive Director of the Advising Corps. "The purpose of this event is to promote the accomplishments of our high school seniors and to launch them on a path to degree attainment and life-long success. The Advising Corps is delighted to see students pursue higher education and we applaud them for the choices they make."
Students are encouraged to wear t-shirts promoting the college they aspire to attend or branch of the military they wish to join, and advisers, faculty and staff are encouraged to wear apparel from their alma maters. The class of 2011 collectively applied to more than 150 colleges and career training programs and received $562,351 in scholarships, more than the previous two classes combined. Their great accomplishments will be celebrated during Decision Day!
