Falling Spring Hosts Speaker

Jack Chambers with studentsStudents and staff at Falling Spring participated in an hour of team-building activities with former teacher, coach, and camp administrator Jack Chambers on September 21. Chambers has been visiting schools for 23 years, encouraging good leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving skills for success.

"I'm reinforcing what the school does every day," he explained. "But I have my own style."

The visit coincided with Falling Spring's launch of CARE Teams (Children Accepting Responsibility and Excellence) to help students take responsibility for their behavior and learn accountability. Each team of students has a mix of grades and will meet once a week for "buddy" reading.

Jack also met with Falling Spring parents September 20, and the following CASHS students from Deb Lehman's child development classes provided complimentary childcare: Amanda Allen, Mary Bakner, McKenzie Doyle, Kathryn Karavias, Abby Michael, Courtney Mills, Caitlyn Pine, Katlyn Selvage, and Kiana Thompson.
