"The most difficult thing to make clear to the new teacher is that because the child progresses, she must restrain herself and avoid giving directions, even if at first they are expected; all her faith must repose in his latent powers."

Come One, Come All to the
Year End Festivities
The Year End Festivities are scheduled for Friday, June 4th at 5:30pm (rain date, June 11th). This is a time when we get together as a school to celebrate the end of the school year. This year, our focus will be on community building with some fundraising (emphasis on the FUN): the older students (primary afternoon and elementary students) will perform songs and then we will auction off the classroom items. All of our students were involved in creating these masterpieces. Pictures of these amazing creations will be sent in a seperate email. Following the auction, there will be refreshments, after which the playgrounds will be open to students, siblings and visitors. This event is open to all families and extended families. Please join us on Friday for a fun time!
We encourage all students and their families to attend this event, to allow younger (non-performing) students the experience of what it is like to be a 'good audience' and to get a glimpse of what they can look forward to when they join the afternoon classes |
Feed The Children Campaign
We thank all those families who have already sent in their donation for "Feed The Children", an organization which provides food for families in need. Donations are used locally (in the Delaware Valley Region). It is not too late to join in! Please read the attached letter and send your donation in by tomorrow, Friday, May 28th. Thank you! |
Dear Parents and Friends of MANJ, The PA will be hosting an Alex's Lemonade Stand during the Year-End Festivities as part of our Community Outreach Program. Our children will be helping to prepare and run this stand. If you are not familiar with Alex's Lemonade Stand, it is an organization started by a young girl named Alex. You can read more about her extraordinary efforts to fund research for childhood cancer at: www.alexslemonade.org/ We are looking for a few parent volunteers to aide with the stand during the festivities, and monetary donations for supplies (to purchase cups, lemonade mix, refreshments, etc.). Any surplus from the donations for supplies will be donated to Alex's Lemonade Stand. You can send in donations with your child in an envelope marked for : ALSF (Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation.) If interested in volunteering to help, please contact:
Jennifer Levas: jlevas@redfishsoft.com or 856-296-1075.
Thank you to the Esmail and Moore families for allowing us to use their popcorn makers!
Also, if you would like to just donate to Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation without buying the refreshments, you can do so through MANJ's fundraising page online at www.alexslemonade.org/node/63922 |

Help us help you...
when you read the newsletter, it not only helps you, but also your child to stay on top of events and happenings at school. We try to keep it brief, so it should take you less than 10 minutes to read, but doing so keeps you informed.
We'd like to thank those 80+ parents who faithfully open and read the newsbulletin; if you have suggestions on how we can improve, please send an email to manjoffice@manj.org.
We'd love to hear from you! |
Get to know the Parent Association
The Parent Association is an organization devoted to preserving and presenting meaningful and important experiences for our children. Our efforts relieve the school administration from their intensive planning and funding, so they may focus all of their efforts on providing the best experience for our children at MANJ.
