Parent Conferences are next week!
A separate email will be sent to all parents indicating the day and time they had signed up for their conference. If you did not sign up, you were assigned a slot. Please review the schedule for your child's class carefully and take note of your conference time. Please do NOT phone the office for information about your conference time or to make changes. |
Please join us in congratulating Mr. Matt (elementary teacher) on his recent wedding to Deserea. We wish you much happiness together! |
Consultation Time
The office staff is eager to hear from you and answer any questions you may have. Unfortunately, many times parents call in with questions when we are extremely busy and cannot devote the necessary amount of time to your questions.
In an effort to improve this, the office will be starting two daily "Consultation Times."
The time between 11:00-11:30am and 2:00- 2:30pm will be set aside to answering any questions you may have.
We ask you to check the weekly bulletin and the parent manual (available on the website) prior to calling, as you may find answers in the literature. If you have remaining questions after reviewing the information , we would be delighted to talk to you. Thank you for your help in improving our communication. |
A new study published in The Washington Times urges parents to curb TV time for young children.
Click here to read the article, which suggests a direct link between the amount of TV time for young children and decreases in math achievement, classroom engagement and time spent in physical activities; increases in the consumption of soft drinks and snacks; and higher body-mass index scores by the time children are in 4th grade. |

Get to know the Parent Association
The Parent Association is an organization devoted to preserving and presenting meaningful and important experiences for our children. Our efforts relieve the school administration from their intensive planning and funding, so they may focus all of their efforts on providing the best experience for our children at MANJ. For additional information on what the PA does and opportunities for involvement click here and refer to page 27 of the parent handbook.

Help us help you...
when you read the newsletter, it not only helps you, but also your child to stay on top of events and happenings at school. We try to keep it brief, so it should take you less than 10 minutes to read, but doing so keeps you informed.
We'd like to thank those 80+ parents who faithfully open and read the newsbulletin; if you have suggestions on how we can improve, please send an email to manjoffice@manj.org.
We'd love to hear from you! |
