The Picnic is Almost Here
The Village's annual picnic is Saturday, September 8 from noon to         5: 00 pm at Ellsworth Park.  Make sure to bring the whole family down to visit with friends and neighbors.  This year's picnic will feature activities, food, and refreshments for Bayside residents of all ages to enjoy including:
  • Ice cold beverages;
  • Wine tasting from 2 pm - 3 pm;
  • Hotdogs, brats, & corn-on-the-cob;
  • Popcorn and frozen treats;
  • Live music and games;
  • Rock climbing wall and bounce houses;
  • Karate demonstrations;
  • and more!

We rely on great volunteers to help make events like this possible.  If you are interested in volunteering to help with serving food, refreshments, or to help set-up, please contact Lynn at 414-351-8812.  See you there!

Are You Ready for an Emergency?
September is National Preparedness Month.  ReadyWisconsin has some

valuable tips to make sure you and your family are prepared for an emergency.  Simple steps like making an emergency kit, creating a family plan in the event of an emergency, and staying informed can make all the difference.  Go over these items with your family and  be ready for the unexpected.

Road Construction Final Phase

The Village's road construction work is coming to an end.  Paving of all roads should be completed by the end of this week.  If the contractor is delayed for any reason, all remaining work will be finished up after the Labor Day Holiday weekend.

The final phase of the project, shouldering work, will begin the week of September 10.  The Village appreciates your continued patience as this project is completed.
On the Lookout for the Emerald Ash Borer
The Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) was confirmed to be in Brown Deer earlier this week by the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection (DATCP).  Milwaukee County has been an EAB quarantined area since 2009, and Brown Deer is now the fifth Milwaukee community to be confirmed with EAB.

If you suspect one of your Ash trees is being affected by
EAB, contact Village Hall at 414-351-8811.  Visit our website for more information.
Do Not Solicit List Clarifications
The Village's Do Not Solicit list is intended to prevent unwanted     door-to-door salesmen from coming to your house.  Please be aware this list does not prevent organizations like the ones listed below from visiting your home:
  • Political and religious organizations;
  • Charitable organizations; and
  • Children selling items door-to-door for groups like the Boy Scouts or Girl Scouts, school groups, or athletic organizations.

All organizations and solicitors are required to adhere to the hours of 9:00 am to 6:30 pm.  Sign up for the Village's Do Not Solicit list by using the Report a Concern feature.
