Whoa Bayside! Another great event where residents brought all you could. Great weather (no rain!) helped spark one of the best Clean Up Days yet. A quick rundown of everything collected:

  • Ten (10) 64-gallon containers filled with non-perishable food donations for Hunger Task Force;
  • $750 collected for Make-A-Wish Foundation;
  • $1000 collected for the Kahn family, victims of a recent Bayside house fire;
  • 2 filled garbage dumpsters;
  • 3 semi-trailers filled with GoodWill donations;
  • 1 semi-trailer and two large trucks filled with Habitat for Humanity donations;
  • Full dumpster of scrap metals collected;
  • 35 pounds of prescription drugs properly disposed of;
  • Approx. 6 tons of recycling collected;
  • Trailer and truck filled with electronics;
  • Approx. 350 pounds of batteries disposed;
  • Several cell phones and ink cartridges recycled;
  • Over 250 gallons of paint;
  • and more.

In total, over 400 cars utilized the Village Hall lot, with over 150 visiting the Household Hazardous Waste site at Ellsworth Park. Did you enjoy it? Ideas for improvement? Let us know! We also want to thank those who helped us put on such a great event, including:
