Tip of the Week

WORK WITH A CLEAN DESK "Out of sight, out of mind." The reverse of that is true too. When it's in sight, it's in mind and we cannot help but be distracted.
Studies have shown that a person working with a messy desk will spend, on average, one and a half hours per day either being distracted by things in their view or looking for things. That's seven and a half hours per week.

Thought for the Week

"I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everyone."

-- Bill Cosby

Recycling Info

We're working to recycle more in 2012.  Let's check our totals:

2011 YTD: 74.62

2012 YTD: 76.18

Get Out the Vote

The Spring Primary is next Tuesday, February 21, 2012.  The only contest on the ballot will be the Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge, Branch 17.   There is no Spring Primary for Ozaukee County residents. Due to recent redistricting, the Village's wards have changed.  That means that while you may have voted representing one ward, you now may be in a different ward for future elections.

All elections are held at the Bayside Middle School.  Residents are reminded to use the Standish Place entrance when coming to vote.  If you have questions regarding either election, please contact Lynn Galyardt.

Where Does It Go?

Wondering where to go with your old electronics?  Make sure it is not the garbage!  Wisconsin law prohibits the dumping of electronics into landfills.  There are a few options at your disposal:

  • Bayside Clean Up Days - Saturday, April 21 - Village Hall lot;
  • Best Buy Fox Point;
  • DNR Recommendations;

Feel free to bring computers, TVs, stereo equipment, computer related items, etc.  If you have additional questions about recycling your electronics, contact Alex Henderson
