Community Bonfire June 24

In conjunction with the Village's Emotionally Intelligent Signage contest the Village will be hosting a community bonfire on June 24 from 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm at Ellsworth Park.  All of the design entries will be on display and residents will be able to make their choices while socializing with their neighbors. 


 The Village is looking for interested area business owners to set up displays to offer their products and services to residents.  If you are interested in showcasing your business , please contact Lynn Galyardt

Emotionally Intelligent Signage Evaluation Begins

Over 250 signage entry forms were completed by local students this past week.

There are a number of opportunities for you to evaluate and provide your input on the entries. he signs will be on display during normal business hours, Monday - Friday, 8 am - 4:30 pm at Village Hall. In addition, the Village will be hosting an 

  • Open House - Tuesday, June 21, 2 pm and 6:30 pm
  • Community Bonfire - Friday, June 24 6:30 pm - 8:00  pm at Ellsworth Park
  • 4th of July at Ellsworth Park
     - following the parade.

Milwaukee County Redistricting

The Village Board passed a resolution that requests additional information from Milwaukee County regarding the process, transparency, and involvement in the County redistricting plan. A community form will be held on June 22 in Whitefish Bay on the subject.

Welcome Mary!
The Village welcomes Mary Rauenbuehler as the Operations Manager for the fully consolidated north shore consolidated dispatch center.  Mary comes to Bayside after serving as the Director of North Shore Public Safety Communication Commission Dispatch Director.  Mary's responsibilities include managing the day-to-day operations of the dispatch cente, and assisting with the consolidation efforts.  Join us in welcoming Mary to Bayside! 
Welcome Brown Deer!
On Monday, the Brown Deer Village Board approved consolidating their independent dispatch operation with the remaining six North Shore communities that have previously approved consolidation of dispatch services.  The consolidated center, to be located in Bayside, will centralize police, fire, and EMS dispatch services throughout the North Shore.  This will ultimately will reduce response times, enhance service levels, and save tax dollars throughout the North Shore..    

Yard Waste Guidelines

Yard waste season is in full swing.  To ensure proper collection, and safety of motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians, please do not place yard waste in the street. 
Additionally, residents are asked to only put yard waste out for collection the week it will be collected. 

The collection calendar is available on the Village's website.  If you have yard waste you would like to dispose of in between collection dates, please drop it off at the yard waste drop-off center off of Fairy Chasm Road.   

Mulch Available

The weather is finally nice, and that means it's time to get outside and do some landscaping.  The Village offers mulch to residents free of charge.  Mulch can be picked up at the yard waste drop-off site, located just north of Village Hall.  Mulch is also available for delivery for $75 per 5 yard increment to resident homes.  Stop in at Village Hall to schedule your delivery.
