Thank you to everyone who participated in Saturday's Spring Clean-Up Day. Please give us your thoughts by completing the Spring Clean Up Day Survey.
Despite the weather, the event was a huge success. The Village raised over $1,100 and filled five 95 gallon containers full of food donations for the Hunger Task Force. In addition to the Hunger Task Force Donations, the Village collected;
- 10,000 pounds of shredded paper;
- 570 pieces of computer equipment and accessories;
- 2 GoodWill semi-trucks full of donations;
- 3-20 yard dumpsters + one garbage packer full of garbage;
- 1 20 -yard dumpster + one recycling truck full of recycling.
- 1 dumpster full of scrap metal;
- Hundreds of cans of paint and oil;
- 1 truck full of TV's and dehumidifiers.
The Village would like to thank all of the volunteers and Village staff who dedicated their time to help make the event a success. The Village would also like to thank Hunger Task Force, GoodWill, Jensen Environmental, Computer Recovery Specialists, ServiceMaster, SecurX, and A&W Iron Metal for partnering with the Village to make the Clean-Up Day a success.
