Thought for the Week

"Our lives are not determined by what happens to us but by how we react to what happens, not by what life brings to us, but by the attitude we bring to life. A positive attitude causes a chain reaction of positive thoughts, events, and outcomes. It is a catalyst, a spark that creates extraordinary results."

Yard Waste Collection Begins April 4

It's that time of the year!  Village crews will begin yard waste collection on April 4.  Each home will be collected approximately 15 times, weather dependent.  To view the complete schedule and color coded map, visit the Village's website.

Please have your yard waste out to your curb by 7 am on your scheduled collection days.  Also, residents can drop their yard waste off at the yard waste drop-off site, located north of Village Hall on Fairy Chasm Road, at any time.

Railroad Crossing Update

You may have noticed that Union Pacific Railroad has completed the new safety gate installation on Regent Road.  Crews have now begun work on the Fairy Chasm Road gates to install the same system.  It is expected that all installation work will be completed by the beginning of April.  Union Pacific will also be repairing any disturbed landscaping once all work is complete.

Vacation Checks

Are you and your family going to be away on vacation in the upcoming months?  Contact the Police Department and officers will check on your home while you are away.  Officers will perform a check on your home every other weekday while you are on vacation.  For more information contact the Police Department at 351-8800 or visit the Village's website.

Need Mulch or a Special Pick Up?

The Village will once again be offering mulch for residents through two options.  You can stop by the Village's yard waste drop off site and load it into your vehicle for free.  Don't have a trailor or vehicle big enough?  No problem. Village crews will deliver mulch to your home in 5 yard increments for a cost of $75.00.

Also, special pickups can be scheduled for $75.00.  Stop in at Village Hall to schedule your special pick up.  For more information, contact Village Hall.
