August 10, 2011 - Author Calvin Helin's recent book was featured in the May issue of magazine (to read article click here). The article titled "Does your child have influenza?" focussed on one of the greatest emerging forms of economic dependency identified by Helin in his new book The Economic Dependency Trap.

The article examines the questions relating to: What is influenza? and How we got here. Interestingly, the article reviews the notion of how middle class parents, with the best intentions, are giving excessively to their children. Author Helin contends that frequent giving of too many material things may inadvertently be creating the same mindset and psychological fallout in middle class children as exists for those on long-term welfare.

Helin's books have also received four out of five stars in Amazon's Customer Reviews.
