"Carrie has been a much needed light in my life. While I was taking good care of myself, physically and spiritually, I knew that I was still stuck in several areas. We have been working together for the last six months and I now find that I am loving who I am more than ever before. It's not because I have made drastic changes, but because I am learning to accept myself and to be gentle with myself. Carrie helped me by moving through the process at a pace that was comfortable for me. Her session are very individualized and she holds me accountable for my action plans and goals.

Carrie has an abundance of resources and intuitively determines which will be most effective. There is nothing you can say to her that will surprise her and she does not pass judgment. Her sessions are positive, self-revealing, mindful, energetic and loving. I highly recommend Carrie if you are ready to move to a state of happiness and gratitude."

Love Yourself Silly

Valentine's love for you

Can you do a better job at loving yourself? That might seem like a strange question, but we often don't think about the love we have for our self. Really think about this for a moment . . . can you love yourself more today than you did yesterday?

Love yourself

Can you allow this month of love to not only be about the people you love in your life, but also about loving you more? What would that look and feel like to love you a little more? Is it possible to love yourself silly?

Maybe you would spend more time alone and do something you really enjoy, maybe it would mean taking a nap on a Sunday afternoon or maybe it would be looking in the mirror and smiling at who you see.

Most people will say that they do love themselves, but then as they begin to think about how they treat their body - always pushing it and going, going, going to the point of exhaustion they start to question it. Would they push someone they love as much as they push themselves? Would the self-talk you have inside your mind feel like a loving conversation if you were to say it to someone you cared about?

As you go forth during this month of love consider loving yourself a little more today than you did yesterday. Here is a letter written to your body that I often share with clients. It might be just what you need as a reminder this month to give yourself a little more love!

Dearest body of mine,

After careful thought and consideration, I hereby promise to:

  • Honor you as the temple of my soul
  • Offer you healthy foods and drinks
  • Realize that you deserve to be healthy
  • Overcome the addictions that hurt you
  • Love and appreciate you for what you do
  • Accept that I have the power to heal you
  • Adorn you with nice, comfortable clothes and shoes
  • Realize that laughter, play and rest help you feel good
  • Exercise regularly and appropriately for my body type
  • Accept you and be grateful for you just the way you are
  • Listen to messages you are sending me when you are hurt or sick
  • Understand that my unexpressed emotions and thoughts affect you

I love you my dearest body of mine!

Soups on!
Stay warm with two soup recipes!

The last month I have been addicted to soup. It seems my body is craving something warm with these cold wintery days. While I have been pulling recipes from lots of places, I wanted to share two with you that I found really good and a little unique. Get the recipes - click here.
