CMF Pursues PRI as Funding Vehicle

A limited liability company (Music Finance Partners I, LLC) has been formed for the sole and exclusive purpose MFP Logoof raising funds from accredited investors (the "Investment Proceeds").  The Investment Proceeds will then be loaned by the Music Finance Partners I, LLC (the "LLC") to CMF for funding the First Note program evidenced by a loan agreement, promissory note and security agreement. CMFhas positioned First Note to move from the beta stage to launching the pilot of the full 30-lesson program.  The funds raised through the LLC are mission critical in making this progression a reality.

The LLC and the underlying opportunity for investors translate into the greatest form of socially responsible investing because bottom-line profits end up further fueling the efforts of the non-profit organization that is serving the children of our communities. For individuals and foundations that are passionate about the First Note mission, the LLC provides an intentional option for managing resources in an effort to accomplish more wth less.

CMF Thank you Mills Music!

Thanks to Mike Mills and Mills Music for joining our set desiMills Music Logogn team and assisting CMF with a very important part of our program.  In order to give our kids an authentic experience of actually being inside a music store, the Mills team will develop the "look and feel" of the First Note Music Store (including providing the instruments) where each of the lessons will "appear" to take place. Thanks Mike!

"State funding for arts in jeopardy"

"...The proposed cuts come as no surprise to artists and arts advocates, who have seen state support for art decline nationwide during the economic downturn..."

This is a headline and portion of an article that appeared recently in the Seattle Times, but it could have just as easily appeared in nearly any state paper as the country grapples with declining revenues while trying balance their budgets.

The First Note Music curriculum is timely as it provides a low-cost option for many schools to provide music in their daily class schedule for our youngest students.
