"The difference between school and life? In school, you're taught a lesson and then given a test. In life, you're given a test that teaches you a lesson."
--Tom Bodett, American author and humorist
Making Progress
The last few months have been devoted to revising our "First Note" kindergarten curriculum. Our goal is to produce a teacher-friendly, easy-to-use manual that can be used by anyone. Our target audience includes music teachers, as well as the regular classroom teacher that may or may not have a music b ackground so the curriculum will be tailor- made to fit their needs. Our pages are filled with color and our beloved icon, Frankie First Note. With this and other fun graphics, teachers are easily guided through each lesson.
We've been fortunate to have the help and support of one of our local music teachers, Rachel Brackett. She is using the curriculum in her classroom now and gives us feedback on a regular basis. We are also consulting with others in the music and education fields to produce a truly original music program that will benefit young children everywhere.
Looking for MUSIC FRIENDS!
We are on the lookout for children ages 6-1 0 who would like to audition for the music friends segment of our program. If you know a child that can sing, do simple dance steps, follow directions and stay focused please contact Paulette Evans. Send your info, picture and resume if you have one. I will contact via email. We will announce an audition date soon.
