First Note Beta Testing is Underway!

YMCA Kids 1
Nearly 500 students in 4 states will participate in the First Note beta program this year.

Thanks to a grant from The Doingood Foundation (www.doingood.org), several more students will be able to participate in this trial program.  In addition to schools, the test is being conducted in several YMCA's (pictured). This wasn't part of our plan initially but we came to find out that YMCA's, Boys & Girls Clubs, etc., have a need for quality programs that their staff members and volunteers can facilitate.  Initial results have been positive!

Full Curriculum Work Begins

Work begins later this month on the full 60-lesson version of the 2-year First Note program, by a team led by Patricia Campbell of the University of Washington.
