Greetings!
It's hard to believe that there are only two months left to 2011. It's also hard to believe that PARL is about to host its 5th annual signature fundraising event, The Rescue! The event is taking place this Friday, November 4th at the Johnson & Wales Culinary Arts Museum. We are looking forward to a fabulous evening of great food, drinks and amazing auction items. You can purchase your online tickets until noon on Friday. Tickets can also be purchased at the door. All funds raised will benefit homeless animals, so join us Friday evening and get ready to eat, drink and bid your tails off! We look forward to seeing you!

November is Adopt-A-Senior-Cat Month!
come see who's waiting for you
Visit our shelter today and you will meet many "seasoned" felines such as Tommy. This handsome guy is an eleven-year- old front declawed Snowshoe mix cat who was brought in because the apartment he was living in did not allow pets and the landlord found out. Tommy has lived with young children and another cat before. He's a very social boy who loves catnip! And there are so many more...

say hello to oreo
Oreo is a lovely older lady who, at 9.5 years old, has found herself in PARL's care for the second time. She was originally transferred to us from a partner shelter in Massachusetts, where she had been surrendered because her owner was moving and couldn't take her along. She found a home but, a year and a half later, her new owners needed to move as well and she found herself back with us...more

Happy Tails
Ginger's happy tale
To all at P.A.R.L. Thanx so much for helping us find Ginger (formerly Sasha). After the loss of our sweet girl Missy to cancer, a black and white pitty mix which we adopted 8 years ago, we never thought we would fall in love again with another dog. But we decided we needed to entertain the thought of a wagging tail again...I think we needed that. We went to P.A.R.L. with hopes of finding that right sweetheart again and along came Sasha...more |
