Happy Holidays from the Providence Animal Rescue League
Greetings!

The halls of PARL are a' buzz with holiday cheer and good will as our staff and volunteers work hard to make our animals comfortable for the holiday season. This good will has been shown in many different ways by you, our supporters. One way is in the constant stream of toys, blankets and other items that have been donated and placed under our "Wish Tree. "In-kind donations" like these are essential and provide comfort to the shelter residents.  Another reason to cheer is for the 140 animals that have been adopted since the beginning of November. We expect to reach close to 200 before years' end and are thrilled to have so many animals "Home 4 the Holidays!"

There is yet another component that provides  good will to PARL that we never want to forget. It is the folks in our community that care about the welfare of animals. Each day people call or visit PARL acting as animal advocates. It may be the person that found a stray cat out in the cold and wants us to provide it a safe shelter. Or it may be someone that does not have the resources to care for their animal and reaches out for our help. They make the difficult decision that their beloved pet may need a new home and make this decision in the animals' best interest.  These people realize that animals play an important role in our lives and that we all have a responsibility to care for our community animals. We are thankful and humbled that we can be of assistance to these people and animals and welcome them with open arms and compassionate solutions.

This holiday season we are thankful for you our supporters and friends. We truly believe that PARL will continue to make strides to better the lives of all the animals in our community. We also believe we can only accomplish this with your help. Thank you for partnering with PARL and advocating for the animals in our lives.

"Home 4 the Holidays!"

During the month of December we are promoting our long-time residents who are still waiting for their forever homes. Any animals that will have been with us for two months or longer on Christmas Day will have their adoption fee reduced by 50%. We hope that this extra incentive will bring together many new families and animals.
Since PARL does not have any time limits on how long animals stay at the shelter, Sushi, Rambo and Snowflake are welcome to stay with us as long as it takes but we hope that they too can be "Home 4 The Holidays."

Help us spread the word about our shelter animals! Please forward this to any friends and family members that you think may be looking for a new companion.

Sushi

On December 25th, Sushi will have been at the shelter for 121 days! It's our hope that he will be "Home 4 The Holidays!"
Rambo

On December 25th, Rambo will have been at the shelter for 143 days! It's our hope that he will be "Home 4 The Holidays!"

Snowflake

On December 25th, Snowflake will have been at the shelter for 185 days! It's our hope that he will be "Home 4 The Holidays!"
