Join us at Dogs In Harmony on Sunday, July 25th from 2 PM - 5PM for a summer Adoptathon event! There will be adoptable pets from PARL, a free gift for all from Merrick Pet Food and a Dogs In Harmony store-wide sale. What a day (and night) we had at the "Get Your Woof On at Nick-A-Nees" event on Saturday June 25th! It was an event-full of animal-loving supporters, great local music and yummy food and drink flowing all night! We want to give  special thanks to Rusty & Steff (co-owners of Nicks) and Jennifer Turner (PARL Board Member) for coordinating such a successful fundraiser for PARL. Living the good life!
We are writing because we adopted Glen, a 5 month old boxer mix on March 7th.  (AKA: Gus) From what information we received he had been rescued from a Kentucky kill shelter by PARL.  Although he was a happy-go-lucky guy from the start he definitely needed lots of exposure to all things that come with being part of the family.  (Ex: walking on the leash, going up and down the stairs, the daily workings and noises of the house and his housemate, Chi-Chi, our cat.)... more
