Summer Care for Our Pets
Safety First!

Most people (and pets) would agree that summer is all about having fun! This is especially true for New Englanders as we only really get a few months to bask in the sun or swim in the ocean. So we tend to enjoy the great outdoors as soon as we have the opportunity. These are a few tips to keep in mind that will help keep you and your companion animal happy  and safe this summer season!

Water Please: Your dog will get thirsty and hot rather quickly even on mildly warm days. When heading out for a stroll pack enough water for both you and your dog (you may even want to take some extra water to pour on your dog's back and head to keep them cool).  more...

Love IS Adoptable at 34 Elbow St!
A plea from "Mr. Tux"

At times things just don't make sense. Here I am dressed to the nines, I'm charming, sophisticated, get along with everyone yet I am still looking for a family that will take me home. Why?

I guess I am getting ahead of myself, please pardon my rambling and allow me to introduce myself. My name is Tux, Mr. Tux; I am a young cat of 4 years. I come with the best of credentials such as an up to date list of vaccinations, collar and ID, and of course neutered (anything else would simply be crass)...   more...

Happy Tails at PARL
Lagrima's Happy Tail!

Lagrima found herself at PARL one afternoon when her owners decided that they could no longer provide for their sweet little girl. It is always a difficult decision to part ways with a beloved companion animal. In this case Lagrima's family was doing the right thing by realizing they could no longer care for Lagrima. They could not afford vet care or grooming and didn't have time to exercise and socialize her. They entrusted PARL with the task of finding a new home that could provide these things that they knew she needed. more...
