Thanks to all of you, Pet Walk 2009 was a great success! Last year, individuals and teams were such a significant part of our fundraising. This year, we've decided to make it bigger & better! Pet Walk 2010 now features "Packs" and with your help and the help of your fellow Pack members, this year's Pet Walk is sure to be the most successful one yet!

How is a PACK Formed?
(just a refresher for you seasoned pros!)

A Pack consists of a Pack Leader and at least 4 other Pack Members. Pack Members could be friends, family, co-workers or any animal lover you know! Give your Pack a name. Be creative and come up with something fun! The Pack Leader then registers their Pack either online at www.firstgiving.com/parl or with the Pack registration form in the Pack-et. Now the Pack is official! For more tips on how to register your pack online read our Pack-et.

The Wild Colonial. The coolest place in town to be on Monday nights!

Every Monday night through April 19th there will be Pack Sessions at The Wild Colonial.

What's a Pack Session? It's a free meeting open to anyone to wants to form (or join) a fundraising Pack for PARL!

We'll give you plenty of weekly tips and tales to form the best Pack you can and tricks of the trade to raise the most funds you can for homeless animals! Individual fundraisers are encouraged to attend - tips and tales are beneficial to ALL fundraisers.

There will be complimentary snacks and a cash bar for all to enjoy! No registration necessary, just show up between 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM every Monday night through April 19th!

Weekly prizes for TOP Fundaiser!

We wanted to create a little weekly competition for Packs and individual fundraisers, so each week we will have a prize for the top fundraisers of the week.**

This week, Dogs In Harmony, a local pet bakery, has donated a $20.00 gift certificate for one of the winners! This local gem of a business carries homemade organic treats and top quality holistic and organic pet foods & toys. They are also huge animal welfare supporters so we hope you will check out their website Dogs In Harmony (and visit their store)!

Pack Party! Save The Date!

On Saturday, April 24th from 1:30 PM - 4:00 PM we will be hosting a Pack Party at The Wild Colonial! All Pack members and individual fundraisers will be invited to attend. We'll have refreshments, prizes and celebrate our efforts to fundraise for the animals!

What is Pet Walk? Why should I raise $$ for PARL?

Celebrating our 22nd year, Pet Walk has been THE pet event to attend. Your participation will make a tremendous impact on the lives of so many pets that depend on us for kindness, care, and a chance for a new life.

Proceeds from Pet Walk support adoption and sheltering services to thousands of animals per year as well as humane education programs, low cost spay/neuter assistance, and emergency pet food distribution.

The Providence Animal Rescue League is a private 501(c)(3) organization serving Providence and the state of Rhode Island.

The League's mission is to provide for the rescue and relief of suffering of homeless animals and perform charitable or benevolent acts for the welfare of animals. The League accomplishes its mission by providing appropriate shelter and humane care for homeless animals; reducing pet overpopulation through strict spay/neuter measures; seeking permanent, responsible homes for adoptable pets and providing a diversity of humane education programs to meet community needs
