DRBC Issues Draft Natural Gas Development Regulations

A moratorium on Marcellus shale gas development in Northeastern PA will soon end, when regulations governing well development in the Delaware River basin are adopted. The Delaware River Basin Commission issued draft regulations on December 9, public comments will be accepted until March 16. Three public hearings are planned for the next three months, locations and dates will be announced later.

WREN 2011-12 Grant Application Guidelines
WREN will have both Watershed Protection and Source Water Protection grants available for the 20011-2012 grant cycle.  Guidelines and application forms have been posted on the WREN website. 

WREN grants are funded by the League of Women Voters of Pennsylvania Citizen Education Fund through a Section 319 Federal Clean Water Act grant from the US Environmental Protection Agency administered by Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection.

DCNR C2P2 Grants Workshops
Thr PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources will offer a series of seven FREE grant workshops throughout the Commonwealth, from 8:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. These workshops will focus on Community Conservation Partnership Program  (C2P2) grants - and how to develop a competitive project, the requirements for submitting a "ready to go" project, the eGrants application process, changes to the 2011 C2P2 Grants Program, and the criteria and other helpful tools for designing and developing a "green and sustainable" project. Foundation for Pennsylvania Watersheds 2011 Grant Schedule
The Foundation for Pennsylvania Watersheds awards grants to citizens groups that the IRS has classified as 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations.  The primary service area for FPW is from the Ohio border to the Susquehanna River's mainstem.  The 2011 Grant Schedule, process and forms can be found at http://www.pennsylvaniawatersheds.org/?page_id=20.
