This Sunday - Jesus: the Primary Priority - What Jesus says... GOES! Hebrews 1:1-4; 2:1-4 Pastor Bill Berger Jesus: the Primary Priority is a book written to Urban Christ followers who are dealing with the trials, pains and sorrows of life and is the theme for our Hebrews series.
The question: "God, if you love us so much, why is life so hard?" The author of Hebrews is teaching us to look at Jesus and see that he is a comforter, a rest giver, a truth teller, an authority, a direction provider, a healer and a sacrifice. He is the Primary Priority to the lives of those who believe, he wants to show those who doubt and seek that making him the primary priority will lead them to the calm waters of hope, peace and stability. |
NEW! Life Group Highlight of the Week Here at All Saints, we want the people of Seattle to know and understand the reality of an abundant life in Christ. This can only happen if we live out our faith in the same places where we live out our lives. The 1 + 1+ 1 formula is a way to bring together our faith and our personal lives to coexist as one. The formula includes 1 church gathering + 1 service team + 1 life group. In the coming weeks, we will be highlighting each Life Group. We want to help you get connected and build community. It's time to live a little life together.
NEW! Drinking the Word: Comej oin us for a weekly visit to a Seattle area brew pub to sample the beer and socialize. We'll talk about the things going on in our lives and in the world -- and what Jesus has to say about them. From climate change to Tiger Woods, the life of Jesus offers us lessons about the issues of today. Who should sign up?: Anyone who enjoys a good pint of ale along with lively conversation, and is interested in exploring what a wandering preacher from two thousand years ago has to say about the issues of today. Hosts: Ray Juskiewicz / rjuskiewicz@gmail.com Location: Location varies and will be communicated via email each week. Date & Time: Weekly. Email for day and time.
Secondhand Jesus - Part 2 (Trading Rumors of God for a Firsthand Faith): This group will be continuing our reading and discussion of the book, Secondhand Jesus. The book encourages us not to rely on secondhand accounts of Jesus but to actively pursue Him ourselves. The book is a wonderful combination of theology and practical application. Who should sign up?: Anyone who wants to be encouraged and challenged in deepening their pursuit of knowing Jesus. Even if you didn't participate in Part 1, please feel welcome to join us for Part 2! Books are available through leader for $15 Host: Tom Dolman / 206-920-9071/ tom.dolman@pmgsonymusic.com Location: Black Raven Brewery, 14679 NE 95th St, Redmond 98052 Date & Time: Saturdays @ 5pm

Updated 1+1+1 brochures are now available, but you can also check out the new life group listings online at believedoubtseek.org.

Inve$ting in All Saints
God has asked that we give at least 10% back to him from all that we get. Whether you give at All Saints or elsewhere, the act of giving not only benefits those receiving your gift, but also blesses you in unexpected ways. All Saints depends entirely on giving from our members, attenders and supporters to do what we do. If you have decided to give to All Saints we ask that you grab a commitment card (from beside the giving boxes, on the "giving statements" table in the Commons, or from the concierge desk) this Sunday, fill it out and slip it into one of the giving boxes. Taking that first step of making the commitment sets everything in motion. Ask God what he would like you to give and be prepared to be amazed! Thank you in advance! |
