This Sunday Investing Your Life Rather than Spending it. Part 1 The Foundation | Psalm 90:12
We are beginning a series on stewardship. I am calling it "investing your life rather than spending it." I want to encourage people to invest their life, time, money and talent for eternity. I want to see All Saints go against the grain of being a consumer, to being one who invests. We all need teaching and application when it comes to our money and our time. We want more bang for our buck but are unwilling to give 1 cent of our money and time unless we get something in return. Jesus gives plenty of guidance when it comes to our money and time. He challenges us to be investors and trust him for the return. Our first discussion point must be understanding what we need to build our trust on. It has to start from the ground up, the foundation, the first dollar, the first minute.

NEW! Service Team Highlight of the Week
Here at All Saints, we want the people of
Seattle to know and understand the reality of an abundant life in
Christ. This can only happen if we live out our faith in the same
places where we live out our lives. The 1 + 1+ 1 formula is a way to
bring together our faith and our personal lives to coexist as one. The
formula includes 1 church gathering + 1 service team + 1 life group. In
the coming weeks, we will be highlighting each service team. We want
to let you know more about the awesome opportunities to get involved here at All Saints.
Communion: Help individuals encounter the gospel of Jesus Christ through the tangible elements of bread and juice. Hosts: Peter Watson / communion@believedoubtseek.org

A new year (with some adjustments)
The start of a new year brings always brings about the
opportunity to look at things from a fresh perspective. It is a chance to both reflect on the
past while at the same time, look with eager anticipation at what lies before
us.
One of the things that has defined All Saints Church, in
particular, the Sunday morning experience is the deliberate break that we take
during the gathering. This time is
intentional as it primarily serves to foster a sense of community in a welcoming
and hospitable environment, especially with those that are new or visiting, as
well as serving to strengthen existing ties between people. The break is also a chance to grab a
cup of coffee, along with a pastry and/or some other type of light breakfast
food.
As much as having something to eat has supported the intent
of the break time, and furthermore, given budgetary considerations as we look
to this upcoming year, we have decided to adjust the type of food service and
limit it to just be a beverage (coffee, tea, etc) at this time. This change will occur starting this
Sunday, January 3rd and shall continue until which time resources
will allow us the opportunity to once again offer food with the beverages. This decision comes after much thought
coupled with the desire to be the best stewards of what time, talents, and
treasures God has given us.
Let us hold on to the fact that this adjustment should not force
us to limit the great atmosphere that we already experience, and that our
Sunday mornings have been, and shall continue to be just one of the wonderful things
that makes our community demonstrate the love of Jesus to Seattle and the
world.
Grace to you and I'll see you Sunday.

We need your help at All Saints!
Here are a couple of specific ways that you can serve at All Saints!
Both the Communion team and the Hospitality team are looking for new leaders. If you are interested in helping coordinate the teams and serving here at All Saints, feel free to email us at hospitality@believedoubtseek.org, communion@believedoubtseek.org, or life@belivedoubtseek.org.
The Office is looking for help on Thursdays. If you have a few hours to spare and would like to help out around the church by tidying up or helping us assemble the handouts for Sunday, please email life@believedoubtseek.org for more information. This is also a great way for high school students to earn community service hours.
The Reading & Announcements Team is looking for a new leader and new team members to help with announcements and reading scripture during our weekly gatherings. If you'd like to help, please contact the office at: life@believedoubtseek.org The Children's Ministries Team and the Nursery Team are looking for additional volunteers to help teach and assist in the classrooms and nursery on Sundays during both gatherings. If you would like to join one of these teams, please
contact Tammara Beck at kids@believedoubtseek.org or Jenn Gifford at nursery@believedoubtseek.org
