Walking with Jesus

Mission: Impossible?
Colossians 4:1-6

Since next week is Father's day, I thought Colossians 3:18-25 would be great to talk about.  So, I am going to skip ahead to Colossians 4:1-6 for this Sunday. This passage is such a great understanding of mission and the importance and relevance of prayer.  The writer Paul tells us all about how real and present God is in our day to day life. Our culture wants to tell us that there are so many other things to look at besides an active God. As a church, we can live this out by praying and living this way to show Seattle that the resurrection of Jesus has begun the healing of a broken world.

Just so you know...

Children's Ministries:
The Kids' Team is gearing up to begin transforming the kids' space downstairs into a fun and inviting kids' zone.  If you would like to contribute to the creative aspect of designing the new look, or if you would be avaliable to help with a work day on July 11th or 25th, please contact Sharlena at kids@believedoubtseek.org

Youth:
A great crew of about 12-14 youth are planning to participate in the retreat!  There are still a few spots open though so the registration deadline has been extended another week.  If you know any 7th-12th graders who might enjoy spending the week of July 5th-10th at Pacific City on the Oregon Coast growing closer to Jesus, please pick up a registration packet for them on Sunday from the concierge desk and return it ASAP, or contact Jolie at: youth@believedoubtseek.org

Accounting:
We'd like to thank Quinn Pina, and Matt & Mackenzie Sullivan for stepping up to take over the accounting responsibilities from Nancy Root.  Nancy has given a great deal of time and energy to organizing our finances and keeping up with our day to day accounting needs over the past several months and was unanimously chosen as our Volunteer of the Year for 2009.  We wish her the best as she takes time to welcome her new baby.

Custodial Arts
The custodial team is losing a couple of members and needs some help.  There isn't a huge time commitment required.  It basically involves doing some light cleaning following a Sunday gathering a couple of times a month and then assisting with event set up/clean up and quarterly deep cleans when possible.  If you'd be willing to check into this service opportunity, please contact April Mower at custodial@believedoubtseek.org

New Coffee:
We'd like to thank Josh Richardson for setting us up to be able to serve great coffee, freshly brewed for our Sunday morning gatherings.  You can visit Josh and enjoy more great coffee at the Muse Coffee Company on 10th and Howe.

Volunteer Appreciation Night 2009

All Saints Volunteers took over Spin Alley Bowling Center last Friday for a night of tacos, tunes, friends and bowling!  Nancy Root was honored as our Volunteer of the Year for her countless hours spent handling church finances, and her great attitude about service.  April Mower received the Rookie of the Year award for her awesome leadership of the Custodial Team and her eagerness to pitch in whenever extra help is needed.  Check out photos and a video from the evening on the website:  www.believedoubtseek.org

We hope you'll be joining us for the V.A.N 2010!
