Europe Advance...in Seattle by Joel L. Domingo, Executive Pastor
This past week, we had the privilege to have a pastor friend from Europe, Sebastiaan Van Wessem visit All Saints and speak about the work that he is a part of in starting communities of faith all throughout Europe.
Sebastiaan is the lead pastor of a church in Hilversum in Holland, near Amsterdam and heads up a network of church planters there called Europe Advance. It was Sebastiaan whom Bill, Craig and I visited on our trip to Europe last month and he was here in Seattle for a few days to share some vision about this network with leaders and church planters throughout the United States.
I am inspired to hear how the vision of what he is a part of in Europe is very similar to the vision that we have for All Saints here in Seattle in that we want to be a resource for planting churches. We wish to train, encourage and equip others to be effective agents of change in their communities. We have a lot to learn from each other and we look forward to further collaboration in the future.
It is also inspiring to see that no matter what the language or culture that we find ourselves in, we can see Jesus at work in the lives of people no matter whether it is in Holland, here in Seattle or anywhere else in the world.
I'll see you on Sunday.
Grace to you.
Pastor Joel
