It's no longer dark at 4:30pm.  And, although it's still early in the year, with the last few days warming up here, you can feel a touch of spring in the air!

Organic Astragalus seedLast night I even heard the frogs, and the familiar sound of a couple of resident hoot owls talking to each other.

We are cleaning seeds and ordering seeds to start our spring greenhouse planting.  Can't wait to see a variety of new little greens!

Compost PileThe compost piles are looking good, and I expect that if we can get a couple of days of dry weather, we will be out in the field spreading compost soon.

The bees are certainly taking advantage of this warm weather as the hives are showing activity.  You wouldn't think this, but there are several native trees in the surrounding forest that are already flowering. Watch close, and soon you will see the color change to light pinks and shades of yellow.
