GALA was organized to promote the arts as an essential component of a healthy community. We believe that artistic expression is a community's greatest legacy for future generations. GALA will increase awareness and appreciation of the arts by way of exhibits, instruction, theater productions, musical programs and provision of scholarships to students in local schools.

Greetings!

Thanks to our artists, musicians, volunteers & visitors
the GALA Fall Art Show & Sale was a great success!

An estimated 300 people visited the show over the course of the weekend. The Friday night reception was very well attended and there was an enthusiastic audience for the awards announcements.

The success of this show and of the GALA organization itself is due in large part to our wonderful volunteers and we offer them our sincere thanks (see list).

A special thanks goes to the following volunteer coordinators whose skill and hard work were instrumental in the success of the show: Vicki Heidorn-Overall Event; Lucinda Oates-Art Shop;
Jan Queijo with invaluable help from Chris Grossman-Raffle; Jeff Gallant-Financials; Joe Bourgeois & Luis Gonzalez-Music; Sally Sargent-Artist Statements; Anna Ruuska-Art Drop Off & Data; Chuck Heidorn-Installation; Ashley & Kevin Bird-Publicity Material; Mike Williams with essential help from Gary Ruuska-New Panels; Ellen Schneeflock-Food Table.

Please patronize the businesses and thank the individuals that donated and tell them that you appreciate their generous support of the arts (see list).

We want to express our appreciation to the Polish American Citizens Club (PACC) for their generosity in hosting our event at their beautiful facility!

Thank you to our distinguished judges: Mark Fisher, C, M. Judge & Nancy Boucher Turcotte for their expertise and dedication!

And of course, we want to express our gratitude to the artists and musicians who shared their marvelous artwork and talent with the community!

Congratulations to the People's Choice Award winners:
1st Cindi Leger for "
Otter River State Park" (Pastel)
2nd Gary Ruuska for "206 Central" (Colored Pencil)
3rd Jan Queijo for "
