GALA Newsletter GALA was organized to promote the arts as an essential component of a healthy community. We believe that artistic expression is a community's greatest legacy for future generations. GALA will increase awareness and appreciation of the arts by way of exhibits, instruction, theater productions, musical programs and provision of scholarships to students in local schools.

GALA Featured Artist - Latrice Cooper | Photography is my life and passion. It is not just my
occupation, it is my identity. I have always been focused on creating powerful
imagery and building a strong and stable photography business. I believe in
setting goals but also being flexible, since flexibility allows me to adapt to
the challenges and opportunities that come my way. I love the freedom and
creativity I find within portrait photography. What's more compelling
than a human face? No matter whom I'm photographing, I approach every subject
with empathy, humor and intense curiosity.
