"We are Earth, walking."  ~Alverto Taxo, Friendship with the Elements

Spring is nature's way of saying, "Let's party!"  ~Robin Williams

Who can resist the magic of spring?  As new life pushes its way out of the Earth, our bodies, minds and spirits respond with joy and appreciation.  The invitation is to allow the seeds of new life to sprout in ourselves as well.

If you have been reading my messages, you know that I believe that - today - we have an unprecedented opportunity to change our lives and life on the planet.  This is nothing new.  The possibility has always been there - is always there.  We only need to reach in and grasp it.

My offering to you this spring is a ritual for shedding what you no longer need and planting the seeds for your happiness and success.  Here is what I recommend:

1.  List what you would like to eliminate from your life.
2.  List what you would like to bring into in your life.
3.  Ask permission of the earth.
4.  Dig a hole and put each list in a separate place.
5.  Give thanks for the transformation.
6.  See what happens.

In our culture, we think magic is a trick.  We forget that magic and miracles happen every day.  I have never gotten over the thrill I felt when I first discovered that I could plant a seed and harvest a vegetable or flower.  I think you will discover that planting and reaping works as well with thoughts and words as it does with seeds.  Of course, you will want to nurture and protect your new growth.  However, I think you will be amazed at the unexpected harvest you will get from doing this simple practice.

This spring, I invite you to honor the Pachamana - the beautiful earth we walk - in whatever way you can.  Take three deep breaths, feel the sunshine on your skin, savor a fruit or vegetable that you grew yourself, join an organization that protects the environment.

One of my favorite ways of connecting with the earth is by eating consciously.  Alverto Taxo likes to say that food is the crystallized love of mother earth.  I believe that the more organic, locally produced whole food we prepare with love and eat with gratitude, the richer and healthier our lives will be.

Discover your own rituals - share them with your loved ones.

If not us, who?  If not now, when?

Blessings and Light,
