Greetings Beloved Friends & Family!
Happy and magical New Moon in Pisces to you! Yes we are in very interesting times indeed.
Last month we welcomed in the Year of the Ox along with two very powerful eclipses that were helping us to align with our Golden Age destiny. A time of peace and universal harmony. We talked about how this isn't just going to "happen" to us but that the awakening that we are experiencing is calling us to to become accountable for our creations and that ultimately our "liberation" is connected with our ability and willingness to become authentic, responsible and disciplined.
So now we find ourselves under the influence of Pisces and some very supportive energies of some auspicious planetary alignments!
Firstly, Pisces which is the last sign of the zodiac is really about completion and endings. So yes we are in a completion phase and are getting ready to begin a new growth cycle. Pisces is a very creative and sensitive sign and teaches us that we find our strength through connecting with our source.
The symbol for Pisces is two fish swimming in opposite directions tied together. One fish swims up stream and represents the "soul," while the other swims downstream and represents the "personality." The challenge here is that either the soul captures the personality and it therefor becomes its servant, or the soul is bound and made captive by the personality. The latter situation has largely been the what has driven the modern world to build, build, build and consume, consume, consume without any regard to the consequences and largely in order to amass more for oneself.
The lesson of Pisces is to learn to the way of service to the whole. In fact Pisces motto is "serve or suffer." It is through learning to be of service and devotion to fellow creatures that freedom is attained.
Pisces is ruled by watery and creative Neptune (god of the Sea) as well as expansive and jovial Jupiter. Thus our task is to allow our creative authentic selves to be fully expressed and shared with others in a good and beneficial way. No more playing small and hiding out! When connected with our inner source, creativity and authentic selves we shine and become capable of great things. When we are not connected then this energy often finds ways of escaping such as through addictions and compulsions including drugs, alcohol, food, sex, television, etc.
So one thing to ponder and release during this New Moon are all of those ways you tend to escape and hide. The things to empower and affirm during this New Moon are our dreams and our path of service. In fact, it is very beneficial to really pay attention to your dreams right now and ask for guidance from the celestial realms. Keeping a dream journal can really help!
Also, be aware that this is a mind expanding time and that we are in a time of what is called the "revealing." A time when things that we the thought were "true," we may discover are so at all. So our ability to be adaptable and flexible important during this time of change. Let go of the Ego for change may mean doing things very differently than before. Our ability to forgive and welcome and embrace change with a sense of fun and adventure will serve us well. We are all learning!
I can tell you that moving from large city living to 200 person community and a 1100 person town where everybody needs to "show up" in order to make it work has been a big change and very rewarding and satisfying for me. While still being able to maintain my privacy through living in my own home, I really enjoy the closeness of my community family. While I am not trying to idealize it, as it and we are not perfect, I do feel that many of the solutions to our current environmental, social and economic crisis will be found in recreating the way we live, work and play. Simplify and purify is a good starting point!
So with that I hope that you have a powerful New Moon and that you are able to use these energies in a beneficial way. As usual, below are listed a number of events I have coming up! In March I will be doing a 7 day Equinox cleanse and alignment and I am endeavoring to share my process over the Internet for those who wish to learn and join in.
I am also solidifying plans to be in Southern California for the Raw Spirit Festival the beginning of June. While in the Santa Barbara/Los Angeles area I will be available for private sessions and if you have a group you would like me to do a playshop or ceremony with, please let me know.
I am also available for counseling over the phone and in person healing sessions too!

Valentine's weekend was something quite special as well as DreamingBear and I did a collaboration during which I did my first Temple Dance at Harbin! Sorry no pictures but I think he might of caught some of it on film ... time will tell! Stay tuned!

STUFFED AVOCADOS
3 ripe avocados
2 ripe tomatoes, diced
1 bell pepper, diced
1/2 red onion, finely chopped
Cayenne
Chili powder
Hmalayan salt
Freshly ground black pepper
Lettuce
3 sprigs fresh cilantro
Slice the avocados in half lengthwise, twist to separate the halves, and remove the pits. Carefully scoop out the flesh with a spoon and place in a bowl. Set the avacoado shells aside.
Mash the avocado flesh. Add the tomatoes, bell pepper and onion. Season with cayenne, chili powder, salt, and pepper to taste, and mix well. Spoon into the reserved avocado shells. Arrange a bed of lettuce on an attractive serving platter. Place the stuffed shells on the lettuce and garnish with the cilantro sprigs.
