Greetings Beloved Friends & Family!
I hope that this finds you well on this fine day! Very exciting times we are in and I find it very poignant that we have a new president born in the year of the Ox coming into office in this year of the Ox.
The energy of the Ox tells us that through fortitude, focus and hard work, we can be prosperous and achieve our goals. Oxes (also represented as Buffalo) are known for their diligence, reliability, strength and sound judgement. They do not back down in the face of obstacles. They are solid, stable, persevering and unwaveringly patient and tireless in their work.
As President Obama acknowledged in his inauguration speach (text available on in my Facebook notes) we are in a time of crisis and it is time to pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off and get to work.
Yes, on top of the economic crisis, environmental degradation and the social injustices we are facing the bottom line is that we are in a 6th mass extinction event and if we continue on our current course which has been rooted in consumption, pollution and greed we will be at serious risk of making this planet uninhabitable for life as we know it in the very near future.
With that said I welcome you to this very powerful Aquarian Total Solar Eclipse day! Eclipses always come in pairs and occur when the Sun, Moon and Earth are more precisely aligned. They act as a window of purification during which the normal flow of solar radiation is interrupted, matrices dissolve, new pathways are opened so that consciousness can be reconfigured.
Eclipses signal a readiness for major shifts in direction and priorities and the spotlight for this pair of eclipses shines on the lessons and wisdom of Aquarius and Leo. I'm sure you are well aware we are said to be in the infancy of the approximately 2150 year Age of Aquarius so this set of eclipses are very powerful in helping us to align with our destiny. The Age of Aquarius is also known as the Golden Age, the Age of Revelation, Enlightenment and Redemption! Yes a time of restoration of the people to our divine inheritance and glory. The age of Aquarius is said to be an era of human perfection and universal harmony.
Aquarius tells us that it is only through taking responsibility for our creations and miscreations that we can find freedom and that there can be no liberation without taking responsibility and having self control.
The symbol of Aquarius is the Water Bearer and with water being the symbol of mercy and purification it represents a sort of baptism into collective consciousness. We are being challenged to transcend our egos and differences (race, gender, creed, nationality, etc.) and realize that we are all members of the Human race, are one family and have one Earth.
Aquarius seeks justice for all on a global level and is the sign of abundance as the Water Bearer pours everything out with no accounting.
Aquarians are visionaries and conceive the future as already here and that all we have to do is to "reveal" it. It is interesting to note as well that while President Obama is a Leo, he has an Aquarian rising which is the window through which he sees the world.
So it seems that all is in Divine order and that there is a quickening. What we are being called to do is to let the old patterns, molds, concepts and structures which are no longer serving us die as we gather together with other like minded people and recreate new more sustainable, regenerative, just and harmonious ways of being.
It is so beautiful to see the Children of the Rainbow (like minded people of all races, classes and walks of life) coming together with a unified purpose to recreate themselves at this time. As you know I have been having quite the initiation into new paradigm living with my 200+ brothers and sisters at Harbin for going on two years now. As one resident put it, Harbin is an imperfect vessel that allows for unique people like myself to grow and flourish. One guest was asking me what brought me here and after he realized that I got to chef in the restaurant and offer my ceremonies in the Temple and host the Abundance League he said, "of course, you get to do all that you love doing here." Yes, I get to be my authentic self and contribute in service to the birthing of a new model of community in a very organic way.
It is also so great to see power of the Internet being used in positive ways to facilitate and deepen connections worldwide, inspire new paradigms and manifest the New Earth.
We are doing it!
We've got our work cut out for us and I invite you to utilize the energy of these powerful eclipses to their fullest by spending time on your own as well as with other to vision (write, speak, journal, treasure board) and anchor the new patterns of perfection that come from balancing the energies of the heart and the mind. Remember though that there can be no peace if everyone isn't fed in a sustainable healthy way.

Raw Vegan Marinara Sauce
Quite frankly I think that this is way tastier than cooked marinara sauce! Here is Angela Elliott's (pictured on the left) book "Alive in 5" version. In my version I like to add red peppers and less tomatos if I want it to be more paste like for crackers and pizza! I served this with Zucchini Millet Cakes last night and people were coming back for more!
6 Roma tomatoes
1/2 cup sun-dired tomatoes, (soaked for 2 hours & use water too)
1/2 cup chopped fresh basil
1 green onion, chopped
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
1 teaspoon Nama Shoyu
1 garlic clove
1/2 teaspoon raw agave nectar
Himalayan salt
Fresh ground black pepper
dried oregano
