WATER:
The Perfect Energy Drink
There's no better way to start your day than to drink a glass of water as soon as you wake up. Right away it jump-starts your metabolism and begins flushing toxins. Room-temp water is best.
Try adding a little lemon, cranberry or pomegranate juice to liven it up. Lemon juice reduces bloating and helps detox, cranberry flushes toxins, too, and pomegranate is full of antioxidants and energizers. Try to drink a minimum of eight glasses of water a day (with or without the tasty juices), and you'll feel more energized all day long. |

Back by Popular Demand: The Sidewinder
So many of our customers were clamoring for it, we just had to bring the Sidewinder Sandal back for one last encore. A long-time favorite for its sporty look and cushiony feel, the Sidewinder features two padded Velcro straps made of full-grain black leather, a roomy toe box, and ultra-soft (hand-washable!) pigskin insoles. Sidewinders come in sizes for both men and women, but supplies are limited, so it's probably a good idea to call ahead to your local Z-CoiL store to check on availability.
More Fun Summer Styles
Although they've been officially discontinued, some of these summery Z-CoiL styles may also be available in your size. Try contacting your local Z-CoiL dealer or call Z-CoiL directly if you'd like to slip your feet into a pair:

Oh, My Aching Feet! Are the balls of your feet sore? Well, there's a name for that -- metatarsalgia! It's a common foot disorder characterized by acute, recurrent, or chronic pain at the ball of the foot under the metatarsal heads, usually caused by excessive pressure to the area over a long period of time. The most common causes of metatarsalgia are ill-fitting shoes that squeeze the ball of your foot into a too-narrow toe box or have heels that are too high, or lack sufficient cushioning and support for high-impact activities. Older people are also more susceptible to pain in this area because the fat pads in the soles of our feet naturally thin out as we age. The first step in treating metatarsalgia is to determine the cause of the pain. If poorly fitting footwear is the culprit, try switching to shoes that have a high, wide toe box and rocker soles. This allows your foot to spread out comfortably, while also reducing stress to your forefoot as you walk. You can add orthotics with metatarsal pads inside your shoes, as well, to cushion sore spots and redistribute pressure more evenly across the bottom of your foot. (Of course, Z-CoiL shoes combine all these features!)
If the problem persists, you should consult your foot doctor. |
Customer Testimonial
I am a nurse and work 12-hour shifts. I have had plantar fasciitis for about seven years, and have tried all the different shoes -- Dansko, Birkenstock, Merrill, Nike -- nothing made any difference. Well, five weeks ago I decided to buy a pair of Z-CoiL footwear, as they were the only shoes I had never tried.
After three weeks all my foot pain is gone, and I can now work more than two days in a row. As a matter of fact, I have worked eight days now without difficulty.
People think they look weird, but cool, and kids really get a kick out of them. The best part, though, is jumping out of bed in the morning and my feet don't hurt at all. I was starting to worry that I might have to give up my ER job and get a sit-down job, but I'm good now. Thank you so much for making such a wonderful shoe. I get tons of questions about them and I tell everyone how great they are and where the nearest shop is.
