Michelle Ash, CFP®, CDFA™

Michelle - new 2.2011

Welcome to 2011; a new year and a time for setting new year's resolutions, right?  Not in my opinion.

That statement may sound adversarial or contrarian, but hear me out for a moment.  This does not mean that I'm not a fan of setting goals.  I just don't believe in the "new year's resolution" type, since most people seem to think that, these days, these types of goals are meant to be broken.  Instead,

Will there be a herd mentality to sell bonds?

Mike Carignan, CFP®, CRPC®

Mike - new 2.2011Mike Carignan discusses a recent question on many people's minds in this posting to PARAGON's blog.

As with any financial market or product there is the possibility that investors will "sell bonds" as a herd, but there are a few things to consider.

First thing to think about is - what are balanced funds?  Many "balanced" funds are made up of a few different bond and equity funds,

Mud RunPARAGON is proud to be sponsoring a team in this year's

Michelle Ash and Mike Carignan would love to have you join them and their teammates.  Come play in the mud with them, volunteer, donate, or be the team's photographer.

There are also children's events for kids 13 and under that Paragon kids are participating in.  We welcome you to register your kids or grandkids for some of the fun in the mud.

Dollars and Sense

Dollars and SenseLooking to save some of those hard-earned dollars?  Try doing a reevaluation of your household insurance policies.  Double-checking coverage amounts, deductibles, riders, and other features may be a great way to uncover dollars being wasted on inappropriate coverages.  Our own Michelle Ash was recently able to redo her property and casualty coverages and save $2,000/year in premiums, AND increase one of the policies that needed to be raised.  While PARAGON doesn't handle P&C coverages, we would be pleased to discuss this financial topic with you further if you have questions.

PARAGON is still accepting clients who care deeply about the financial situation and are looking for assistance in managing it.  If you know someone we may be able to help, please feel free to let them know about us.  Thank you!
