A Secular Bear Market: Our Reality by Jon Castle, CFP, ChFC
 Approximately 18 months ago, I published an article that suggested that we had, unfortunately, entered into a period of time known among economists as a 'secular bear market.' Since that time, the market suffered one of the deepest and steepest drops in history, falling a total of 57% from October of 2007 to March of 2009 as measured by the Standard and Poors 500 Index. This additional drop not only confirms the existence of the current Secular Bear, but also begs the question - "What do we do about it?" more.... |
