Wow. What a year.
As the holidays approach there is always a little part of me that becomes nostalgic and a

bit melancholy. Right now, even amongst the bustle to prepare for the grand inauguration of our new building, I can't help but reflect on how truly blessed we have all been and how lucky we are to be part of such an amazing community.
Although our initial intention was to build a community
education space, I think that it has become clear to everyone, including myself,
that what we have built is much more than that.
The new facility holds par with any public museum or educational
facility in the state of Nayarit, if not in the country of Mexico. The
reality that we will open in 10 days realizes not only a personal dream but an
example of a community that has done the right thing... and done it all together.
Undoubtedly many of you are receiving holiday giving requests
en masse. I too, am receiving many requests with dollar amounts attached that will change lives... and as the director of this non profit, I thought about sending out a donation request to ask you to support our needy families, or scholarship students or one of the plethora of other programs that work to make a difference.
But here's the thing...

This new facility and the work that entreAmigos does and will do in it has already become an example and inspiration for others. We have teaching and speaking invites from all over Mexico, we have groups planning tours and others already building using techniques that they learned from us. The building itself has been designed to help us become 100% economically self sufficient in a short time (as in, not donor dependent as we are now). We will soon not only be changing lives right here in San Pancho but teaching groups and organizations how to do so in their own communities. We are so, so close!
Right now we are facing what happens at the end of every
construction project... a laundry list of
details and a rapidly dwindling budget.
We must raise additional funds to complete this project and we need your help or the help of people you know who might be interested in becoming part of this beautiful and important project.
Below is a bunch of fun "opportunities" that you might want to choose to help support our construction costs and contribute to the project. They make great and meaningful gifts for a loved one and there should be something for everyone. These "opportunities" are written to be lighthearted but the need is very, very real and any contribution is humbly and gratefully received.
We thank you all for your support and continued support.
Happy Holidays and I look forward to seeing you at the
Inauguration!

p.s. if you are coming to the inauguration please bring a dry food item or unwrapped toy!
