Garlic Peeler
Sometimes a recipe may call for whole or sliced cloves of garlic. The garlic peeler makes removing the skin easy allowing you to keep the clove in tact. All you have to do is put the clove in the tube/peeler and roll it on a hard surface. You will hear the skin cracking which means it is ready. When you turn the peeler on its side the clove falls out and the skin stays in the tube until you shake or wash it out. This is a valuable tool available at most cookware stores for under $10 or you can buy it easily by clicking on the link below.

| Entertaining
Gathering your friends and family for a meal does not have to be a lot of work. There are so many easy ways to allow you to enjoy your guests while they create their own meals!
Make your own soft tacos: setup a buffet of tortilla shells, some spicy meat (or not), some raw, grilled, or sauted vegetables, add some toppers such as guacamole, salsa (both can be store bought), sour cream and grated cheese. Each guest can then mix and match every taco as they like.
Top your own pizza party: purchase tortillas or pitas...mini or regular. Prepare toppings such as pesto, pizza sauce, or tapenades. Slice vegetables and grate some cheese. Have your guests create their own pizzas and bake them at 375 until the cheese is browning and melted to your liking.
Have an ice cream social: Toppings galore, and some fun flavors or just good ol' chocolate and vanilla ice cream with some fun dishes and spoons will make it easy for you and creative for your guests.
These suggestions work well for childrens parties too! |
